Let There Be Green
ESC Project
Valletta Design Cluster

Overview
"Let There Be Green" is an exciting project aimed at engaging Maltese youth, aged 15 to 30, in indoor gardening. By offering practical resources, workshops, and mentorship, this initiative seeks to enhance mental and physical well-being, promote sustainability, and foster a sense of community. Gardening activities provide stress relief, improve mood, and offer mindfulness practices, which are vital for young people facing mental health challenges. Participants gain a sense of accomplishment as they nurture plants and witness their growth.
Additionally, the project helps youth connect with nature, even in urban environments, promoting physical activity and social interaction. Participants develop practical skills such as plant care and soil management while learning about sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint. "Let There Be Green" encourages community building through shared gardening experiences and the creation of an online community. This initiative not only empowers young people but also sets an example for sustainable practices, contributing to a healthier environment and a more connected society.
