The City of Privilege
Youth Exchange
Metline, Tunisia
Overview
The main goal of the project is to raise awareness on the problem of social inequality, an issue that needs to be addressed across Europe. Inequality is still a major issue across Europe, according to an OECD report on the continent's socioeconomic divide. This project aims to increase youth awareness, understanding, and reflection on privilege and social inequality. This would promote Europe's Common Values, which aim to reduce discrimination and increase social equality, and is an important initiative to introduce to the youth so that they can apply what they learn throughout the project in their daily lives and communities.
The goal of this youth exchange project is to come up with ways to reduce social inequality by aiming to achieve the following objectives:
1. Increasing youth awareness of social inequity and the consequences of this inequality.
2. Educating the younger generation about various types of social privilege and their effects on society, as well as how privilege may manifest itself in different parts of the world/Europe.
3. Inspiring introspection and critical thinking about social inequality and privilege.
4. Promoting Europe's Common Values and Objectives, as well as combating social inequality and privilege.
5. Disseminating the project's message throughout the countries involved.
